The following universities maintain outstanding online writing websites with strong grammar components.

The Discovery Channel maintains an education website for students and teachers.  It has education materials for all ages and all subjects.  Search under ‘grammar’ and you will find some really good resources.  Just check that they are age appropriate.

The Grammar Book is a hard copy grammar textbook by Jane Strauss.  The website that supports the book has a lot of good free material on grammar and teaching grammar including online quizzes, videos and rule explanations.

The English Grammar Book is part of a privately owned and maintained website called The English Page.  The English Grammar Book contains good rule explanations as well as lesson plans and activity suggestions.

Using English is another privately owned and maintained website.  The site covers all aspects of the English language, including grammar.  The site has quizzes, handouts, lesson plans and articles about English.
