Since 2001, ACE has specialized in supporting English language education providers. At ACE, we write quality English language teacher training courses, develop customized English language  teacher training courses for new clients, offer on-site professional development workshops and work as consultants to language programs across Canada and internationally.

The ACE English language teacher training courses offer both new and experienced English language teachers cutting-edge, interactive and dynamic learning experiences. To deliver our courses, we partner with school boards, community colleges, universities, non-profit organizations and private language schools. We believe strongly in holding our courses to the highest possible standards. Where applicable our courses are approved by provincial and national accrediting organizations, including TESL Ontario and TESL Canada.

Mission

At ACE, we believe that the ability to speak the English language can empower and equip studentsfor the realities of today's globalized world. We believe that the starting point in this English language learning process is the teacher.

In light of these beliefs, our company's mission is to expand the availability of practical, current, and relevant English language teacher training, professional development, and consulting solutions to English language education providers throughout Canada and globally.

  


Our Team 

 

 President

Dianne Tyers, PhD, M.Appl. Ling., MBA

Dianne Tyers' experience and expertise includes twenty years in the English language education industry in four countries (Canada, U.S.A., Australia, Japan). She has held teaching, management, training and program development positions with public and private sector educational organizations.  Dianne completed her PhD at OISE, University of Toronto.  You can download her PhD thesis here: The Experiences of Women Entrepreneurs in the English Language Education Sector: Understanding Cross-Cultural and Cross-Linguistic Implications Through a Multiple Narrative Case Study.  Dianne also has a Master's of Applied Linguistics from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada.

Dianne is supported by an experienced team of curriculum developers, researchers, trainers and administrative staff.
