The ACE Certificate in Language Teaching and Technology

 

The ACE Certificate in Language Teaching and Technology is a three-part certificate course designed for language teachers who are interested in becoming more knowledgeable, skilled and confident in the use of technologies for language teaching purposes. The course provides an overview of the theory and research on the use of technology for pedagogical purposes and then gives teachers the opportunity to work with current technologies that can be used in the language classroom.

 

TESL Ontario NEW LogoAll three parts of this course are recognized by TESL Ontario as Post TESL Certificate Training (PTCT) courses.  PTCT is specialized training that enables instructors to further their knowledge and skills in high priority content areas such as materials development, technology in the classroom, language for the workplace, and higher level language training. Language education professionals can earn CEUs for completing the ACE Certificate in Language Teaching and Technology. The international standard for CEUs is one CEU for every 10 hours of professional development, therefore participants can earn 3.5 CEUs for successfully completing Part One of the course, 3.5 CEUs for Part Two, and 3 CEUs for Part Three.  Please note that this is a general guideline and CEU standards may vary from one teaching context to the next.  It is your responsibility to check the CEU requirements for your specific teaching context.

The ACE Certificate in K-12 ESL Student Integration

 

 

The ACE Certificate in K-12 ESL Student Integration is designed for teachers of grades K-12 who have ESL students in their classes.  The course provides ideas, strategies and tools for the successful integration of your ESL students into both your classroom and your school.

Language education professionals can earn CEUs for completing the ACE Certificate in K-12 ESL Student Integration. The ACE Certificate in Teaching Standardized Test Preparation is designed to introduce language instructors to the knowledge, skills and techniques needed to help students be successful on a variety of standardized English language proficiency tests, including TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC and the Cambridge Exams.
