Canada has English language teaching positions in private language schools, school board government language programs (for example Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada or LINC), colleges and universities. School boards and private schools also hire teaching staff for summer camps for international students.

The peak season for English language teaching in Canada runs from June through to September. If you are new teacher, this is the easiest time of the year to find a job.

Qualifications Required:

 University degree; TESL Canada recognized TESOL Certificate

Average Contract: Work ranges from casual part-time, to contract, to full-time
Hourly Rates:

$20/hour-$35/hour

Private tutoring: $25-$35/hour
Teaching Hours: 15-35 hours/week
